This obstacle earned its name and reputation because it’s almost impossible to conquer without getting at least half submerged into a muddy pool of water. Dong Dangler forces you to cross a body of water with just one slippery rope to hold on to. Forget about trying to keep your jewels warm, just suck it up and Mudder on.
Sit-Ups: Do 4 rounds of 20 reps.
Handstand Wall Hold: 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off. Do 6 rounds.
Wall Sits: Do for 3 minutes.
Overhead Bar Hold (using a 20kg bar): 20 seconds on, 10 seconds. Do 6 rounds.
Tough Mudder Tips
Go head first.
This obstacle is a meaner, muddier version of a ropes course. Grab the wire with both hands and swing your legs up. Lock your feet together on top of the wire and pull yourself hand over hand. If you feel like Tarzan, you’re doing it right.
