Only 78% of participants successfully complete a Tough Mudder course. You’ll need to do serious training if you want to be one of them. Each Tough Mudder course will have varying terrain, mud, water, ropes, walls, and fire designed to push you to your limit.

Tough Mudder Boot Camp combines resistance training with high-intensity cardiovascular exercises to prepare you for the challenges you’ll face on a Tough Mudder course. This program delivers an intense mix of cardio and strength training in what some people call “circuit training.” We call it Boot Camp. The program is entirely flexible and can be tailored to the time you have available and your level of fitness.

What to bring on event day


What to Wear

Shoes - Normal running shoes. Cleats won’t help–in fact they’ll be worse on your feet and are dangerous for the other participants.

Clothes - Lightweight stuff that dries quickly. Even if it’s a cold day, heavy or thick clothing will just retain water and make you colder. You should also bring a change of clothes for after the event so you can enjoy the post party.

Gloves - This one is more debatable. Some people swear by them, others prefer to go glove-less (faster drying). If you go with gloves, be sure to grab tough, thick ones to prevent burns from the ropes and splinters from the walls.

Other Important Items

Photo ID - You MUST bring a photo ID. We cannot stress this enough. You won’t be able to run the event without it.

Your EventBrite ticket - Digital copy on your phone or a printed-out ticket.

A watch - If you care about knowing your time. It’s on you to time yourself.
