World’s Toughest Mudder Gear Recommendations

Bring whatever you think you’ll need to be comfortable (as comfortable as one can be running through water, fire, and mud for a day) and safe during the event; but remember, it is your responsibility to deal with the consequences of whatever gear you bring. You cannot abandon unwanted gear on the course.

In 2011, many participants underestimated the cold and did not heed our warning to bring a wetsuit. Many such competitors withdrew from the competition before completing even one lap. If you plan to be around for more than a couple of hours we strongly suggest you do not take the cold lightly.

REQUIRED GEAR

  • Headlamp
  • Clip-on safety strobe light
  • Food and drink. We will be serving water and energy bars on the course, but you may not want to rely solely on those two sources to power you through.
