Want to run the course at the same time as your friends and family? Make sure to create your team no later than two weeks before the event (two Monday’s prior). If you do not create or join a team by this date, we will not be able to guarantee the same start time for you and your teammates.

What to Bring

What to Wear
At all events, we suggest wearing normal running shoes – spikes and cleats are strictly prohibited, but Merrell shoes are highly encouraged. Dress in comfortable clothing (or a costume that will make you more stylish on course) and bring dry clothing to change into once you’re done.
If it’s cold, gloves are recommended. If it’s hot, sunscreen is a necessity. No matter what the weather is, make sure to come hydrated and take advantage of water stations on course.
If you don’t plan on traveling home muddy, you’ll probably want to bring a change of clothes. Stop by the bag drop tent to store your belongings while you’re on course. $10, CASH ONLY.
Mini Mudder is a 1-mile muddy obstacle course designed for Tough Mudders-In-Training. Start waves will be every hour on the hour from 9am - 11am and 1pm - 4pm. Sunday, waves will be at 9am, 10am, 11am, and 1pm. Children must be at least 42 inches tall and accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Skedaddle is the best way to get to Tough Mudder. Start or join a professionally driven ride directly from your neighborhood to the start of the event! Ride with other Mudders from your city and leave the logistics to Skedaddle--they’ll hook you up with a van or bus straight to the venue.

Keep the crew entertained at Concord Mills, the largest shopping and entertainment destination in the Carolinas. Concord Mills is home to over 200 stores including manufacturer and retail outlets, off-price retailers and unique specialty stores including the state’s only Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, and entertainment from SEA LIFE Aquarium, AMC Theatre, The Speedpark and Dave & Buster’s.
In the heart of racing country, the legal liquor still packs the kick of the outlawed kind. Southern Grace Distilleries crafts small batch whiskey and offers tours at their new locations inside a former prison.
Another kind of shine can be found just up the road at Reed Gold Mine—the site of the first documented discovery of gold in the continental United States. Today, NC’s only underground mine still open to the public welcomes visitors to tour the tunnels and pan for gold from April to October.
Afterwards, head next door for a wine tasting or a picnic on the 45-acre grounds at Rocky River Vineyards, a family owned vineyard producing some of the state’s sweetest award-winning wine.
Craft breweries have popped up around Cabarrus, and many tell the story of this destination through their brews. Sip at Cabarrus Brewing Company and High Branch Brewing, then stroll next door and browse endless aisles of antiques at The Depot Antique Mall. In Downtown Concord, Red Hill Brewing resides above the famous Cabarrus Creamery, and Lil’ Robert’s Place boasts over 500 craft and micro beers with 20 rotating taps. Quench your thirst at Twenty-Six Acres Brewing if you’re near Concord Regional Airport.
Historic Downtown Concord is the spot for boutique shopping, art galleries, cozy eateries and independently owned businesses with local flair. Try gems like Havana Carolina Café & Bakery for authentic Cuban cuisine and Gianni’s Trattoria, European Italian dishes and hand-tossed pizza. Or,sample North Carolina barbecue just minutes from downtown at The Smoke Pit where the line extend out the door for smoke-to- perfection prime cuts and essential southern sides.
