Being a Mudder℠ is all about taking on the obstacles in your life and the enormous sense of accomplishment that you feel when you overcome them.
Before turning 30, Sherry Bullock was looking for a new challenge to celebrate the milestone birthday. A mother of two girls, ages seven and three, she is the pillar of strength they look up to, and learn from. So when a friend asked her to join their team at Tough Mudder Virginia, she knew she couldn’t say no.
A self-described mom, wife, teacher and adrenaline junkie, Kirby Smith is a force to be reckoned with. She prides herself on being a stubborn, independent, strong woman. Looking for a way to get in shape and stay motivated, she formed a small fitness group with co-workers. After a few months of sweat sessions, she was ready for her next challenge and pitched the idea of running a Tough Mudder to the crew. All but one told her she was crazy, and it was in that moment she knew she had to prove them all wrong.
Last weekend, over 1200 of the toughest people on the face of the planet descended on the desert sands of Las Vegas. Competitors from every corner of the globe came to Lake Las Vegas to compete in the 5th annual World’s Toughest Mudder competition. WTM is a 24 hour endurance mud run that tests every facet of an athlete.
Saturday at 2pm in Las Vegas cannot come soon enough. Here at TMHQ, we have spent the last 12 months planning what we feel is the best WTM course to date. With year 5 of WTM upon us, we were able to take all of the learnings from the first 4 events, and create the most challenging and well-rounded event you have seen to date. This course will test every facet of the competitors skill set, both mental and physical.

World’s Toughest Mudders, listen up. The most hellish (or best) 24 hours of your life are just around the corner. With a course unlike anything we’ve created before, digging deep will be a must. Before we release pieces of the course map, chew on these never-before-seen game changers.
Mudders are inspired to embark on their journey for a slew of reasons – to simply bond with friends, fundraise for a cause, or overcome personal challenges. For John Glines, an auctioneer in California, it was an opportunity to dig deep and find out just how far he could push past his preconceived boundaries of mental toughness.
If we told you that a four-year-old Aussie has completed two Tough Mudders, you’d probably wonder what’s going on over at Tough Mudder Australia headquarters in Melbourne.
But fear not: Roxie, the youngest Mudder to cross our finish line, is not of Australian citizenship but breed, and her owner, Army Staff Sergeant Desiree Rincon of Tampa, would never dream of putting her in harm's way.
After Global Mudder 2014 put Tough Mudder in the international spotlight, we decided to go even bigger in 2015. On the weekend of September 12 and 13, thousands of Mudders across the United States, Germany, the UK and Australia tackled Tough Mudder’s 10- to 12-mile world-class obstacle course and proved, once again, that Mudder Nation is a global force that’s here to stay.

On July 25, we introduced Tough Mudder's Cousin in the City, Urban Mudder, to the world. At Randall's Island in New York City, thousands of Mudders, including Coach T. Mud himself, gathered to take on the very first 5-mile Urban Mudder course. So how'd it go down?

Over two million Mudders have crossed our finished line, and chances are, wherever you live, you’ve passed a few without even knowing it.
If you’ve crossed paths with Texas’s Brian “McMudderton” Muttee, however, you’d know for certain he’s a Mudder, as Brian wears Tough Mudder on more than just his sleeve.
In honor of 2 Million Mudders crossing our finish line, throughout the month of August, we'll be highlighting the personal fundraising efforts of inspiring Mudders. To learn more about running and raising for charity, visit our official 2 Million Mudders page.
They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. But look at any photo of Kai Madden running a recent Tough Mudder and a thousand questions probably come to mind.
A few months ago, two Australians won a trip to one of Tough Mudder's most famous destination events - Tough Mudder Whistler. In today's episode of Coachified, Coach catches up with his Aussie mates after the finish line and encourages them to keep the training going.
