Being a Mudder℠ is all about taking on the obstacles in your life and the enormous sense of accomplishment that you feel when you overcome them.
The wait is over. Tough Mudder's brand-spanking-new original web series, Coachified, is here. In episode one, watch Coach T. Mud tackle Tough Mudder Tahoe with his party brigade.
In case you’re new to the party, every Monday after a Tough Mudder event weekend is an official Wear Your Headband to Work Day, aka Headband Monday.
Like these Mudders did, keep the adrenaline-pumping positive energy flowing by rocking your orange in the place you make that green. Then take a photo and upload it to Tough Mudder's Facebook page using #HeadbandMonday for a chance to be featured on our blog.
Tough Mudder isn’t just another mud run or challenge, and Chipotle doesn’t just provide great burritos.
At every Tough Mudder event, and in our Mudders’ everyday lives, we see amazing displays of camaraderie, teamwork and integrity. At TMHQ, one of our core values is pride, and we bring integrity to everything we do.
This year, we’ve already sent one contest winner and a friend to Tough Mudder Whistler, and they were so psyched that we wanted to give you Mudders a heads up about another chance to win a trip to TM Whistler for you and three of your friends.
Right now, Tourism Whistler is running a contest offering an insane laundry list of prizes to one lucky Mudder.
The grand prize includes:
Round-trip coach air transportation to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
A Tough Mudder course is no stranger to side-splitting creativity, and coming into Tough Mudder Los Angeles, we knew LA Mudders would set the costume bar for the 2015 event season.
Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Here are our top on-course costumes from TM LA.
First there was Tough Mudder. Then there was World’s Toughest Mudder. Then came Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder. Throughout the years, however, one vital demographic remained untapped: babies.
That’s why this year, TMHQ is introducing the first-ever toddler-centric obstacle course for children 18 months to three years old and standing at least 1-foot tall: Baby Mudder.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Mudders make the pilgrimmage to run Tough Mudder events near them. Some people are lucky enough to have events in their backyards (we're looking at you, Long Island). While others travel across the country to take part in a new event landscape (think ski slope versus race track).
This is it Mudders. The Tough Mudder 2015 season is right around the corner. We've been preparing for this moment for months, and we're sure you have too.
We want to see how you've been preparing for your Tough Mudder. Working out with friends? Rolling in the mud in your backyard? Chugging beers at the top of mountains? Share your pic using #TM2015isHere for your chance to win a 2015 Season Pass.
Two weeks ago, during the great northeast snowshow, we challenged Mudders to capture their outdoor workout and upload it using #SnowMudder. We promised the winner a flight, hotel stay and entry to Tough Mudder Whistler 2015. While we got hundreds of hilarious submissions from Mudders nationwide, one Mudder boldly stood out from the rest.
For a half-decade, thousands upon thousands of children have witnessed their parents and grandparents; uncles and aunts; babysitters and teachers boldly traverse Tough Mudder’s 10 to 12-mile obstacle course.
They’ve watched on in inspiration with one thing in mind: When will it be my turn?
This year, however, we’re silencing the are-we-there-yets with the release of Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, the very first kid-sized obstacle course of its kind.
As you round the corner around mile ten at Tough Mudder this year, you’ll see what appears to be another Funky Monkey in the distance. Get a little closer, and you’re reaction might be something like this: WHAT THE #$@& IS THAT?
Well, that’d be Dead Ringer, and here’s what you need to know about it.
We have an important event announcement to share. This year’s Tough Mudder Poconos event is shifting closer to Philadelphia and will now be Tough Mudder Philly which is scheduled for October, 17 & 18, 2015 at Plantation Field in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
This change is part of our commitment to bringing you the best course possible. It provides the opportunity to experience a new venue with a stunningly scenic course featuring rolling hills, varied terrain and a slew of our new-for-2015 obstacles.
Look atop any list of history’s most hair-raising jobs, and you’ll find ‘test pilot’ soaring high in the rankings. And while we’re no NASA, you might be surprised that we’ve got some modern-day test pilots of our own.
Throughout our entire off season and a great deal of our event season, the Alpha Testers of our Obstacle Innovation Lab put their daredevil reputations on the line testing our new obstacles for the very first time.
Last week, we got around. Now get your mind out of the mud because we’re talking about the worldwide media fanfare surrounding our new obstacles. Here are five of hundreds of outlets that decided that our big news was their big news in one short week.
