Being a Mudder℠ is all about taking on the obstacles in your life and the enormous sense of accomplishment that you feel when you overcome them.
This year, we’ve already sent one contest winner and a friend to Tough Mudder Whistler, and they were so psyched that we wanted to give you Mudders a heads up about another chance to win a trip to TM Whistler for you and three of your friends.
Right now, Tourism Whistler is running a contest offering an insane laundry list of prizes to one lucky Mudder.
The grand prize includes:
Round-trip coach air transportation to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
A Tough Mudder course is no stranger to side-splitting creativity, and coming into Tough Mudder Los Angeles, we knew LA Mudders would set the costume bar for the 2015 event season.
Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Here are our top on-course costumes from TM LA.
Did you know a few seconds, a finger and a phone could help you to enter for a chance to win a trip to Australia?
No, we’re not talking about falling in love with a vacationing Aussie on Tinder, we’re talking about Chipotle’s Tough Mudder Text-to-Win Sweepstakes running from April 6 to 26.
During this entry period, simply text MUDDER4 to 888222 (or to 888333 if you’re in Canada) to enter for a chance to win a trip for two to a Tough Mudder in Australia.
First there was Tough Mudder. Then there was World’s Toughest Mudder. Then came Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder. Throughout the years, however, one vital demographic remained untapped: babies.
That’s why this year, TMHQ is introducing the first-ever toddler-centric obstacle course for children 18 months to three years old and standing at least 1-foot tall: Baby Mudder.
This Mudder season is sure to be jam packed with awesome announcements - the latest of these being that we’ve partnered up with Ziploc® brand to ensure that keeping your valuables clean and your post-Mudder clothes and costumes contained is easy.
While every Tough Mudder course has a “no whining” policy, this year, we have no choice but to be a little lax on this rule. The reason? Cry Baby-- Tough Mudder’s latest tearjerker of an obstacle that stirred up a media frenzy earlier this year.
An enclosed structure filled with a (safe) tear gas-like concoction brewed by our mad-minded course team, Cry Baby will have your eyes flowing with tears of, um, laughter--yeah, laughter.
After her mother passed away from breast cancer, Chelsea Campbell, only a junior in high school, was called upon to take care of her mentally and physically handicapped sister, Alexis.
In a time when nothing in life seemed secure, the support of her local firehouse was the one constant in her life. So when the time came to rally a team for Tough Mudder 2015, choosing teammates for her dream team was a no brainer.
When he was a child, Rob Leboy remembers walking the neighborhood collecting cans with his grandfather, so they could afford to buy bread. The hardships Rob faced as a child weren’t just financial, however. Because of his low-income status, Rob was bullied at school, and throughout his youth, every day seemed like a struggle.
Now an adult, Rob’s number one goal is to make sure that his young daughter never has to experience the poverty and loneliness he felt in his youth.
On December 14, 2012, Jeremy Richman’s daughter, Avielle, a student at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, was murdered alongside 19 classmates and six adult staff members.
In the aftermath of Avielle’s tragic death, Jeremy and his wife, both scientists, started The Avielle Foundation, an organization created to study the neurological issues that lead to violence and encourage people to act compassionately.
At 15, Dan Kosick, the 2014 Upstate New York Inspiring Mudder of the Year, lost his leg to cancer. Growing up, he struggled emotionally as well as physically with his disability. Then slowly, Dan began to change his attitude. Eventually he looked deep within and thought, “What am I hiding?”
Two weeks ago, during the great northeast snowshow, we challenged Mudders to capture their outdoor workout and upload it using #SnowMudder. We promised the winner a flight, hotel stay and entry to Tough Mudder Whistler 2015. While we got hundreds of hilarious submissions from Mudders nationwide, one Mudder boldly stood out from the rest.
For a half-decade, thousands upon thousands of children have witnessed their parents and grandparents; uncles and aunts; babysitters and teachers boldly traverse Tough Mudder’s 10 to 12-mile obstacle course.
They’ve watched on in inspiration with one thing in mind: When will it be my turn?
This year, however, we’re silencing the are-we-there-yets with the release of Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, the very first kid-sized obstacle course of its kind.
As you round the corner around mile ten at Tough Mudder this year, you’ll see what appears to be another Funky Monkey in the distance. Get a little closer, and you’re reaction might be something like this: WHAT THE #$@& IS THAT?
Well, that’d be Dead Ringer, and here’s what you need to know about it.
We have an important event announcement to share. This year’s Tough Mudder Poconos event is shifting closer to Philadelphia and will now be Tough Mudder Philly which is scheduled for October, 17 & 18, 2015 at Plantation Field in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
This change is part of our commitment to bringing you the best course possible. It provides the opportunity to experience a new venue with a stunningly scenic course featuring rolling hills, varied terrain and a slew of our new-for-2015 obstacles.
