Being a Mudder℠ is all about taking on the obstacles in your life and the enormous sense of accomplishment that you feel when you overcome them.

Don’t forget, Monday, November 16, 2015 is National Mudder Day. What’s that? Only the best day of the year in Mudder Nation. Whether you’ve just completed your first Tough Mudder, or are on your way home from World’s Toughest, it’s a day to recognize all the muddy accomplishments you made in 2015 and instead of cake, we’re celebrating with free Chipotle burritos. Wear your headband to any Chipotle in North America on Monday 11/16  and fill your belly to the brim with burrito goodness. Here’s how...

You’re probably wondering... “Who is Half-ass Henry?”  While he may be a man of few words, he has wisdom beyond his years. We caught up with the legend himself to learn more about who the beard growing, sunglass sporting, newest member of Mudder nation is.

What are you striving toward?

Greatness. Isn’t everyone? If you’re not, you should be.

Dear Mudders, World’s Toughest Mudders, and Future World’s Toughest Mudders:

It’s that time of year again. The time of year when all of you crazy Mudders start deciding whether you want to put your body through one of the most challenging and badass events on the planet.

We’ve got some new tricks up our sleeves this Mudder season, and Skidmarked is one of our latest Obstacle Innovation Lab creations.

A new-for-2015 obstacle that requires tricep strength and lower body explosiveness, you won’t get run over at Skidmarked if you adhere to these three Coach T. Mud-approved exercises.

Ominously looming over the Tough Mudder course, this fire-breathing beast of an obstacle, the crown jewel of Legionnaire’s Loop, is accessible only to Mudder Legionnaires-- Mudders with one or more previous Tough Mudder finishes.

For a half-decade, thousands upon thousands of children have witnessed their parents and grandparents; uncles and aunts; babysitters and teachers boldly traverse Tough Mudder’s 10 to 12-mile obstacle course.

They’ve watched on in inspiration with one thing in mind: When will it be my turn?

This year, however, we’re silencing the are-we-there-yets with the release of Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, the very first kid-sized obstacle course of its kind.

After months of consulting and planning with the hip-swiveling Coach Theodore Mudhoney, we’re ready to launch our official Tough Mudder 2015 Obstacle Training series.

Featuring think-outside-the-gym training videos highlighting how to best prep for each of our world-class obstacles, our series is full of freakishly fun, Mudder-ready training tips for newbies and Mudder legends alike.

So loosen up those hips, press play and get ready to be Coachified.

This past Saturday on Randall’s Island in New York, thousands were crowned with green and grey Urban Mudder finisher headbands, as Tough Mudder’s Cousin in the City celebrated its inaugural event.

The five-mile Urban Mudder course, featuring leaps from rooftops, shimmies through laser fields and riverside runs with views of the famed New York skyline, brought a new breed of festival fitness to the Big Apple.

Here are some of our top shots from this weekend’s very first Urban Mudder.

Tough Mudder's 10-12 mile military-style obstacle course is about much more than overcoming on-course obstacles-- it's a chance for people around the world to test their fitness while bonding with friends and fellow Mudders and overcoming physical, mental and personal obstacles along the way.

May 2, 2015 marks the five year anniversary of Tough Mudder’s very first event at Bear Creek ski resort in Pennsylvania. Needless to say, it’s been a wild, memorable, epic half-decade ride.

Watch how far we’ve come in a few short years, and then get caught up on your Tough Mudder history by visiting our Tough Mudder 5 Year Anniversary Page.

Wow. Just wow. This past weekend, Mudders the globe over answered the international call of camaraderie to commemorate Global Mudder--Tough Mudder’s most epic weekend in our half-decade history.

So just how epic is EPIC? In just 48 hours, the number of worldwide Mudders who crossed our finish line would be able to fill three Madison Square Gardens. That’s right. Three. But the shocking facts, figures and findings don’t stop there. For the skinny on Global Mudder, check out our Global Mudder By the Numbers infographic.

In 2014, more women took on Tough Mudder than any other year in TM  history. Inspired by their strength, commitment and ability to prove that “Mudder” knows no gender, we’re here to run down some of our most inspiring on-course photos of female Mudders this year.

Paying it Forward

A woman reaches down to help a fellow Mudder reach the summit of Pyramid Scheme at Tough Mudder SoCal.

As you round the corner around mile ten at Tough Mudder this year, you’ll see what appears to be another Funky Monkey in the distance. Get a little closer, and you’re reaction might be something like this: WHAT THE #$@& IS THAT?

Well, that’d be Dead Ringer, and here’s what you need to know about it.

With Global Mudder just days away, hundreds of our course builders are working around the clock (and the globe) to bring you the muddiest weekend in mud run history. This coming weekend, August 16 and 17, 60,000 Mudders will cover damn near one million miles of mud-caked terrain in five events spread across four countries and 19 time zones.
