Being a Mudder℠ is all about taking on the obstacles in your life and the enormous sense of accomplishment that you feel when you overcome them.
Ask Kristina Kelly the thing she’s most proud of in her life, and she’ll name three: her marriage, her children and Tough Mudder.
Having lost an 8-year old sister to leukemia, Kristina and her team of a dozen family members, 18 to 48, compete in Tough Mudders to carry on her older sisters memory. To date, Team Kelly has finished six Tough Mudders, and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

At 15, Dan Kosick, the 2014 Upstate New York Inspiring Mudder of the Year, lost his leg to cancer. Growing up, he struggled emotionally as well as physically with his disability. Then slowly, Dan began to change his attitude. Eventually he looked deep within and thought, “What am I hiding?”
Two weeks ago, during the great northeast snowshow, we challenged Mudders to capture their outdoor workout and upload it using #SnowMudder. We promised the winner a flight, hotel stay and entry to Tough Mudder Whistler 2015. While we got hundreds of hilarious submissions from Mudders nationwide, one Mudder boldly stood out from the rest.
For a half-decade, thousands upon thousands of children have witnessed their parents and grandparents; uncles and aunts; babysitters and teachers boldly traverse Tough Mudder’s 10 to 12-mile obstacle course.
They’ve watched on in inspiration with one thing in mind: When will it be my turn?
This year, however, we’re silencing the are-we-there-yets with the release of Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, the very first kid-sized obstacle course of its kind.
As you round the corner around mile ten at Tough Mudder this year, you’ll see what appears to be another Funky Monkey in the distance. Get a little closer, and you’re reaction might be something like this: WHAT THE #$@& IS THAT?

We have an important event announcement to share. This year’s Tough Mudder Poconos event is shifting closer to Philadelphia and will now be Tough Mudder Philly which is scheduled for October, 17 & 18, 2015 at Plantation Field in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
This change is part of our commitment to bringing you the best course possible. It provides the opportunity to experience a new venue with a stunningly scenic course featuring rolling hills, varied terrain and a slew of our new-for-2015 obstacles.
