Virginia native and six-time Tough Mudder finisher Heather Ferguson is much more than a World’s Toughest Mudder. She’s mother to the World’s Toughest Baby. So what exactly constitutes “tough” for a baby? How about running 1,600 miles… before being born. Yes, we thought she had some explaining to do too--that’s why we asked Heather to tell her story of her daughter Zoey, aka World’s Toughest Baby (WTB), in her own words.

Ask Kristina Kelly the thing she’s most proud of in her life, and she’ll name three: her marriage, her children and Tough Mudder.

Having lost an 8-year old sister to leukemia, Kristina and her team of a dozen family members, 18 to 48, compete in Tough Mudders to carry on her older sisters memory. To date, Team Kelly has finished six Tough Mudders, and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

While every Tough Mudder course has a “no whining” policy, this year, we have no choice but to be a little lax on this rule. The reason? Cry Baby-- Tough Mudder’s latest tearjerker of an obstacle that stirred up a media frenzy earlier this year.

An enclosed structure filled with a (safe) tear gas-like concoction brewed by our mad-minded course team, Cry Baby will have your eyes flowing with tears of, um, laughter--yeah, laughter.
