Leap of Faith
We hope you've been working on your vertical - because you'll need every inch as you attempt to leap for the dangling cargo net to pull yourself to victory. Set your feet, pick up some speed, take flight, and hope you can go the distance. If you do - you'll get to wriggle your way up the hanging net. If you don't? Time to swim.
Tough Mudder is no stranger to jumping (Walk the Plank, anyone?) - but we wanted to really test our Mudder's ability to leap as high and far as they could. Enter Leap of Faith. After a series of tweaks to cargo net height and the addition of a water pit, we've found the sweet spot that poses a serious challenge to everyone in Mudder Nation.
Bent Arm Pull-Up Hang: Bring your chin over the bar. 15 seconds each. Do 4 rounds.
Pull-Ups: With your hands close together, attempt to get your chest to the bar. Do 4 rounds of 10 reps.
Tuck Jumps: Drop into a half squat, then explode upward, jumping and bringing knees to your chest. 15 reps. Do 3 rounds.
Tough Mudder Tips
Get a good running start, extend your arms, and get ready to clamp down on the net as soon as your hands make contact. Keep your feet up if you don't want the water dragging you down.
