Mudder Volunteer Program
Why Join Probably the Best Team on the Planet?
If you’re awesome at helping others conquer their challenges, then we want you to join our team as a Tough Mudder Volunteer. Our Volunteers are called Mudder MVPs (Mudder Most Valuable Players) because they are the driving force behind our team on event day.
As the premier obstacle course in the world, we have something for everyone who wants to volunteer, from being the first to greet thousands of Mudders, cheering them on as they jump into a dumpster full of ice, or putting those hard-earned headbands on Mudders as they cross the finish line. Whatever you do as a Mudder MVP, you’ll be at the heart of it all, creating life-changing experiences for everyone–including yourself.
Whether you’re joining the Mudder Volunteer Program to run a Tough Mudder with the Volunteer Discount or experience a Tough Mudder first hand, support your favorite Mudders, learn new skills or meet new people, or to be a part of something exciting in your community, we’re excited to have you on the team. Whatever your motivation for becoming an MVP, we need our Volunteers to be tough, just like our participants. We start early and our days are busy (but fun). We need people who are up for the challenge, will follow through on their commitment, like working with others and are willing to jump right in.
Tough Mudder Volunteers were AMAZING.

Mudder Experience (All Day)
AKA...The Hit Squad. You'll help to ensure we can provide the optimum experience for Tough Mudder participants, spectators, and fellow volunteers by supporting the event operations requirements as the day progresses. As the name 'Hit Squad' suggests, your day will include multiple roles that fall within the realm of Mudder Experience. You might offer the first smiling welcome at parking or registration, help apply tattoos, man the bag drop area or the Wall of Muddspiration, help secure event boundaries, keep Mudders & Spectators safe at course crossings, pump runners up before starting, or congratulate Mudders with their own hard-earned headband at the Finish Chute. The ideal Base "Hit Squad" Volunteer is a quick learner, flexible, well-rounded, and energetic.
Course (All Day)
You'll encourage and motivate our participants as they seek to overcome 10-12 miles of hardcore challenges and terrain.
We made it to volunteer and run. I loved doing both, can't wait till next year.

Check-In (Including Facemarking, Spectator Check-In / Sales)
You will provide the important first welcome to thousands of Tough Mudder participants and spectators.
This is a key part of the participant experience, as bag drop is typically the last stop before Mudders make their way to the Start Line and again as they leave the event.
You'll provide on-site customer service at its best, and be the source of useful knowledge for the thousands of people that attend Tough Mudder events.
As a Start Line Volunteer, you'll help create a high-energy and efficient Start Chute so that Mudders kick off their run with ease and excitement.
As a Finish Area Volunteer, you'll get front row seats to see Mudders take on the last couple of obstacles on the course, help distribute bananas, water, finisher t-shirts and of course...crown finishers with the famous orange headband.
As a Tough Mudder Medical Volunteer you will be certified and eager to contribute to our high safety standards. Examples of the medical roles we require are: Physician, Physician's Assistant, Nurse, Patient Care Assistant, Paramedic, EMT, Certified First Responder (CFR), Dispatcher, Data Logger, Lifeguard, Certified Diver.
UTV Off Road Driver
Do you have experience driving a UTV off road and through mud? If so, this is the perfect role for you as the medical team's driver. Lots of mud, scenery and keeping Mudders safe.
Being a Pre-Event Volunteer will give you the opportunity to assist with event preparations leading up to event weekend. You will get a first hand look and appreciation as to what’s required to plan and deliver a Tough Mudder event.
The description is in the name - our Volunteer Team Leads are true leaders. As a Team Lead, we expect you to be a strong facilitator and good leader of people.Apply To Volunteer
