The name Gnome Your Limits! actually comes from a computer game achievement where you had to physically carry a Gnome from the start of the game to the end without losing it. This idea made it to our first Tough Mudder in 2013, where every gnome runner we started with makes it to the end, no mater what!! No Gnome Left behind!!
Take an original obstacle and take your object through it and back without losing it.
Could be a wiggle worm toy (Like WTM 2022)
Could be a flotation device (Force you to take it under the water)
Could be a kitchen sink?! Get creative!

🎸 `Rocky my Boxy` 🎸
Another Simple design and obstacle to give a fresh feel to the race.
A large box to climb up and over!
But beware! When you add weight to the front it rotates forward. When you pass the centre of gravity it rotates back!
The obstacle is weighted at the back to return it to the upright position for the next racer!

One straight out `The Pink Book` 😍 this Sunday!
Hook `n` Loop
A variant of The Classic Kong`s with a gauntlet feel. Everyone wants to feel like a ninja! 🥷🥷
Simple design, Simple Build.
Grab 2 Loops for each hand and progress through the obstacle, hooking them on hooks. Some of them are on chains or moving!
Plenty more ideas hiding in this book, you know, if anyone wants to approach us 😉🤣

Here comes my suggestion for a future Tough Mudder obstacle.
Name: Over flipped
Description
The mudder has to climb up a ladder and crawl along a pipe about 20 feet long. The pipe has a diameter of 2 feet and it can freely rotate to the left and right so the mudder has to keep the balance. To have more grip there are some handlebars attached to the pipe along it’s length. Should the mudder lose the balance, he or she can shiggle along the pipe by holding on to the handlebars, even though it’s turned upside down. That would be very hard to traverse the obstacle but it’s still doable.
Should the mudder fall off, there’s a pool of water. Hopefully there’re no alligators in it like in Atmore. 😉
On the other side the exit goes over the podium.
There can be several pipes next to each other.
Finger and full body strength is necessary to complete this obstacle. But it also need a good balance.

This is “Ring-Ring-Ring”. Swing from the ring to the cargo net, then to the next ring, just out of reach, and repeat. All suspended 8’-10’ over a pool of water.
Easy for some, challenging for others.

You drag your family and friends to spectate every time... Force them to stand in a field full of mud and make them hold your stuff..
It`s time for some spectator revenge!!
With a sprinkle of twinkle toes over water.
You`ll Dodge, Duck , Dip, Dive and Dodge;
wet sponges,
foam balls and
maybe even supper soakers.
As spectators take their 5am wake up call anger out on you from trying to get to the event on time.

Another stab at the #tminnovationlab because this idea was in my head and I had to bust out some MSPaint level skills to realise it 😂
"The Wushu Wall Run"
I`ve always loved those scenes in Kung Fu movies where the action hero runs across the wall like someone switched the gravity off and looking pretty graceful whilst doing it. This would be your opportunity to do the same.
It`s basically a set of ropes attached to a zip line style pulley. Grab the rope, take a running jump to launch across the water before running along a vertical wall. Survive the wall run with enough speed to clear the remaining gap and land on terrafirma.
Mission achieved. Slow motion optional.
Additionally to make this tougher -
Maybe make this a few walls with gaps in between.
Or better still, multiple walls, multiple ropes.
You`ll have to leap for your next rope making this even more epic.
Someone much cleverer than I can figure out how to make the ropes return to the start once the weight is released (I`m sure there`s a way to do this, but it might as well be magic or me!)

So this is my second obstacle design entry after the other years wrecking ball submission.
Welcome to haze maze!! A giant hay bale cube that has a maze inside of different options. Dug into the ground to get down and ditty but to also climb up inside the hay bale maze itself and go up in a dark confined space. Mudders take their route and it can either go down or up more so its a lucky dip!
Can also be scaled down for even the Lidl mudders too!
Simple but fun! Who doesn`t like launching over and up hale bales?!

A new take on Funky Monkey! Wooden boards with holds on them that are hanging from chains so they move as you do. You slowly get higher above the water as you make your way sideways across them. Ending with a rope climb down to solid ground.

Not the best drawing, but here`s another idea for the #tminnovationlab obstacle challenge.
Slanted walls with climbing holds on them for your hands and small wooden slats for your feet. Gotta traverse across the wall, then lean behind you to get to the next wall. Repeat until the end.

So Tough Mudder posted about their #tminnovationlab for a chance at designing a future obstacle... Well I was just bored enough that I thought I`d take a stab at it.
I can only apologise about the readability of the design. It`s been a good ol`time since I last did anything like this... And it shows!
To explain it in case it`s not clear:
I`d call this "Leaps and Bounds".
You start by climbing a cargo net to reach the highest section. You would need to jump onto one of the declining sloped platforms and then side hop between the two slopped platforms until you reach the end. It`s then one final leap onto a suspended cargo net before you can work yourself down to safety and back to the ground.
You would need to keep moving as soon as you commit to the first jump. If you fail to make the jump between platforms and/or the net, you`ll end up in the drink. I`m thinking the water needs to be either nice and cold, or nice and mucky to ensure you do your best to complete.
What do you think?
I know I haven`t really innovated, but thought it could be fun to test the agility.
