Think you’re tough enough for Tough Mudder’s new 2019 obstacles? Well, meet Leap of Faith—a brand new challenge you’ll face on every Tough Mudder Classic course this year. It’ll have you leaping over a 6-foot water-filled gap to a hanging rope net.
To conquer it, you’ll need cat-like skills—we’re talking agility and precision—and upper body strength in order to keep your pretty feet dry.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be facing, courtesy of Coach:
Intimidated? Don’t be—we’ve created a killer 3-move upper body workout, which you can do at home, in the gym, or at a Tough Mudder Bootcamp near you, that will help you build and maintain the upper body strength you need to crush Leap of Faith. Do four rounds of this circuit—a full-body broad jump and two muscle-shredding upper body exercises: pull-ups and single arm kettlebell swings—with 5 minutes of rest in between each round.
3-Move Upper Body Workout
Broad jumps – 3 reps
Pull Ups – 5
Single Arm Kettlebell Swings – 9 reps per arm
Rest 5 Minutes…Repeat.
