Tough Mudder Kids: Climbing Everest

Hey Mudder Nation!

This year, Ninja Nation is super excited to be partnering with Tough Mudder! Specifically, the new Tough Mudder Kids courses! Mighty Mudder for 8-12 year olds, and Mini Mudder for 5-7 year olds.

There will be a Tough Mudder Kids event in Colorado on July 24th and 25th, and one in Dallas on November 6th and 7th, so we want to get our little Mudders ready to get muddy!

Luckily, the new head coach of  Ninja Nation Huntersville, Coach K, is ranked 20th in the country in Spartan Racing, and he’s the Reigning North American Age Group Champion in the 3k, and he has some training tips for anyone looking to take on a Mudder event!

One of the obstacles which will appear in both the Mighty and Mini courses is Everest. It’s a lot like our Warped wall, and Coach K recommends taking the same approach with these three tips:

1: Go full speed 

2: Commit

3: Remember to leap for the top!

If you want to train for Everest in one of our arenas, Coach K recommends working your lower body with sprints and squats, and practicing our warped walls.

We hope to see our members crushing Tough Mudder courses this year!
