The Course That Literally Takes Your Breath Away
If you’re not a Coloradan, we hope you plan on arriving early to acclimate, because Fort Carson – recognized as the “Mountain Post” – stands strong at the base of Cheyenne Mountain, 5,840 feet above sea level. You’ll have to really and truly rise to this challenge, as dauntingly steep climbs and rugged, rocky trails will have your quads working overtime. This mile-high mud is as dynamic and gritty as the Rocky Mountains themselves, but don’t forget to pause along the route to take in the crisp mountain air and the unbeatable panoramic views.
Choose Your Distance (or Cheer on Your Friends)
Are you ready to rise to this mile-high challenge? There are muddy milestones for everyone in your squad at Tough Mudder Colorado. Choose from a 5K format with 12+ obstacles or a 15K with 20+ obstacles, or – if you’re feeling extra brave and ambitious (and don’t get scared of the dark… in the wilderness…) – toe the Toughest Mudder start line at 8 p.m. on Saturday night to conquer 12 hours of insane obstacles until the sun comes up. If you tackle Toughest Mudder 2025 in the Rockies, you’re truly extreme. Either way, you’ll leave this weekend with unforgettable memories and an insatiable itch for the Rocky Mountain high you just can’t get anywhere else on earth. Totally worth it.
