Since its opening over 25 years ago, Gopher Dunes has built a name for itself in the Canadian motocross community, gaining recognition around the globe and consistently drawing well-known riders from across the country to compete and test their mettle. And quite a test it is: Gopher Dunes boasts its flagship 2K sand track with man-made obstacles (sound familiar?), plus several tracks of varying difficulty, and an interconnected web of woodland trails with a distance totaling close to 30K.
It sounds scary, but with plenty of open, flat and grassy hills and Canada’s unbeatable fall foliage just beginning to poke through, Tough Mudder Toronto is a perfect entry-level event for first-timers. Just make sure you’ve trained your ankles and calves for sandy and uneven conditions, or you’ll be waddling away with your tail between your legs.
