Mudder Nation never lets us down. Every year you blow our minds with your ability to pull up your sleeves and design your heart out. Whether it’s a totally bonkers mash up of your favorite on-course experiences or a completely new teamwork-demanding challenge, you impress us every time. And this year is no different.

We simply had to share with you just a few samples of the amazing creativity and to be honest, quite insane ideas that have landed in our inbox so far. So sit back and relax and pray to the Tough Mudder Gods that not all of these ideas make their way onto course next year.

THE ROCK NESS

(Block Ness Obstacle Evolution) A known fan favorite with a twist, cylinders with rock climbing grips. This is an obstacle where team work is paramount, as the blocks turn easily in the water. Guaranteed to rock your (MaxGrit) socks off.

THE DORODANGO

This obstacle is giving Mudderhorn vibes but with a twist. Climb up the cargo net and slide down the big inflatable slide.

MUDDLED MAZE

Enter the maze and try to get through to the other end. Be careful this could be a muddy one.

THE SOS

Follow the SOS dots and dashes to travel underneath over mud or water.

Have these epic designs inspired you to pick up a pen (or a toilet paper roll?). You still have plenty of time to enter this year’s Obstacle Design Competition.

Need a little bit of inspiration to get those creative juices flowing? Explore the new obstacle innovations we debuted at World’s Toughest Mudder 2022, then search #tminnovationlab on Instagram to explore entries that have already been submitted. Don’t forget to add a like to vote for your favorites.

We can’t wait to see which of your ideas make it to the mud.
