Does your workout leave you famished? You know the feeling of wanting something healthy and easy to eat—and wanting it now. Or maybe you’re one of those people who just don’t feel hungry after a hard training session, and refueling is a struggle. Either way, these Post-Workout Recovery Bites, created by Angie Asche, MS, RD, sports dietitian and owner of Eleat Sports Nutrition, are the perfect solution. Made with just six ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry, they’re super easy to make and a fast, portable snack you can feel good about eating. So hit the road or gym, then hit the fridge. Eat 3 bites for 30 grams carbs, 9.5 grams protein—the perfect 3:1 ratio post-workout.

Post-Workout Recovery Bites

Ingredients

1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups Quaker Rolled Oats
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 small mashed banana
2 Tbsp Honey (optional)

Directions

Combine all ingredients together in large bowl and mix well. Refrigerate mixture for 1 hour; then separate into 24 (Tbsp sized) balls. Keep refrigerated.
