Mudder Nation lives courage, personal accomplishment, teamwork and fun — and we’re strongest when we set all differences aside and stand together. Imagine what we could accomplish by putting that power to work where it’s needed most?
Now, that dream is a reality. We’ve joined forces with a new official US charity partner, Team Rubicon, and we’re counting on you to roll up your sleeves, get out there, and get dirty with us while making the world a better place.
Team Rubicon is the only nonprofit disaster response organization that mobilizes military veterans to support communities devastated by natural disasters. They deliver disaster response services to reduce hazards, clear dangerous debris and provide emergency home repair. By tapping into the valuable skillset of veterans and giving them an opportunity to continue their service, Team Rubicon fosters a newfound sense of purpose, community and identity.
At TMHQ, support for veterans is part of our DNA, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with an organization that is redefining what it means to return home from military service.
Our partnership with Team Rubicon will go far beyond traditional fundraising. It will unite two communities with a shared vision: harness the power of teamwork and community to tackle life’s challenges head on.
Here’s what Tough Mudder will be doing to support the cause:
Donation Matching: For each Mudder who raises $150 for Team Rubicon, we’ll donate $15.
On-Site Support: In 2016, we’ll host hundreds of Team Rubicon supporters and personnel at events across the country. Look out for their gray shirts starting at Tough Mudder Long Island next month.
Free Entry: In partnership with Team Rubicon, we’ll be awarding free Tough Mudder entry to hundreds of top fundraisers.
Mudder Nation Mobilization: With select Tough Mudder Ambassadors leading the way, we’re mobilizing Mudder Nation to deploy as Team Rubicon volunteers. (This could be you — keep reading).

Team Rubicon operations provide direct assistance to the communities that need it most. In 2015, Team Rubicon deployed volunteers on 35 domestic and 3 international operations.
