Mudder History
I did my first Tough Mudder in 2014 at the Tri-State event. Since then I have done four full courses and two half courses, as well as the Tri-State Tougher Mudder this year.
I Mudder because…
I have Multiple Sclerosis and I want to show my loved ones that MS is a beast but SO AM I!
On the morning of a Mudder, I wake up feeling…
Full of positive nervous energy. Nervous in the sense that having MS I will never truly know how my body will react, no matter how much training I put in. But I feel positive in the fact that I am still able to push myself and it always works out in the end.
My favorite part of being a Mudder is…
The people you meet on your way to the finish line. Having the opportunity to help and be helped is so humbling. I have done other races but nothing compares to the Tough Mudder community.
Being a Mudder has changed how I…
Deal with having Multiple Sclerosis. Knowing I have a Mudder event coming up gives me no time to feel sorry for myself. It shows my loved ones that I’m going to be okay. Next year I am planning on getting my Holy Grail. With the Mudder Team, I know it’s possible.
