The most hellish hurdles you’ll ever overcome.
Teamwork is key for this obstacle. Climb a set of 3 meter wooden walls that our Course Designers have strategically placed for when you’re at your weakest points during the event. Some Mudders℠ will be strong enough to make it over Berlin Walls alone, but most will need a boost from a fellow Mudder, whether it’s a teammate or someone else. There’s never been a better time to make friends with a stranger.
Obstacle Stat: 80% of participants require teamwork to get over Berlin Walls.
Sure, it’s easy enough when the walls are dry, but it’s much trickier when they’re covered in mud and slop. Build your back and arm muscles with our pull-up and push-up series.
Bent Arm Pull-Up Hang (bring your chin over the bar): 15 seconds each. Do 4 rounds.
Pull-Ups (attempt to get your chest to the bar): Do 4 rounds of 6 reps.
Box Jumps: Do 3 rounds of 15 jumps.
Push-Ups: Do 3 rounds of 10 reps.
Tough Mudder Tips
Give ‘em a boost.
Some Mudders with superhuman upper body strength and agility will be able to get up and over themselves. Those with a good vertical leap may be able to reach the top by planting a foot on the protruding wooden 2x6 near the bottom of the wall. Others will have to work together. To boost your teammates over the walls, interlace your fingers and let them step into your hands while they pull themselves over the obstacle. This goes best with two Mudders working together to help another one over the wall. Just make sure someone else returns the favor.
