THE VENUE
“Belvoir” might mean “Beautiful View” in French, but don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security. You’ll start with a deceptively gentle climb through the woods, before bursting out into open pastures, where you might encounter a charming little water feature (or two). From there, it’s straight into the infamous “Hills of Belvoir,” because what’s a Tough Mudder without a proper leg-burning, soul-testing ascent?
At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of the castle and pit area (that’s if your eyes aren’t too full of sweat and regret to appreciate it of course). Then, it’s a fast and furious descent to the finish line… before heading straight back out for another lap, obviously.
The current elevation sits at a modest 200m per lap, but with 100 days to go, there’s plenty of time to make it worse. Hold tight.
TOP-TIER TOUGH
World’s Toughest Mudder is the most extreme, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping 24-hour obstacle course challenge on the planet.

All the muscles in the world won’t soften the blow of 10,000 volts.

Clear those sinuses and dry those eyes with a crawl through Tough Mudder’s proprietary tear gas blend.

Pulling yourself along a 48′ pit of water with 4″ to breathe might not make you panic, but it will definitely make you pee at least a little bit.

W.T.M Vegas Training!💪 Worlds Toughest Mudder is only months away! Very excited to endure so much pain in one day hah. This obstacle course is 24 hours long. And to even place at this competition you have to achieve more than 50 miles of running and obstacles designed by British Special Forces. My team mate and brother jimmy_jo_jack have completed two tough mudders together so I know we`re gonna knock this one out with hard work oh and possibly instapic81 and johnnyv82 are gonna get recruited too. They just don`t know it yet! And best know my strength wraps will be on to support my wrist on every obstacle! strengthwraps follow them and check STRENGTHWRAPS.COM you can see me rocking there wraps in every video for one reason they are Amazin! #toughmudder #wtm #worldstoughestmudder #training #strengthwraps
📍Atlanta, Georgia X Worlds Tougest Mudder🏃🏻♂️14 hr Road trip Part 1... I could write for days about my experiences at Worlds and racing throughout this year...to keep it short I would like to start by thanking everyone that has been apart of this journey with me and the OCR community has been beyond amazing. You all know who you are and if I’ve come into contact with you during this race season you all have had a major impact on my life! Many lessons have been learned along the way but the biggest I’ve learned is to believe in your self and your own capabilities... davidgoggins Says that once you think you’ve reached your 100%, you have only tapped into 40% of your true potential! These races are a great way of showing you that and push you beyond any limiting beliefs that you may have. You will come out inspired in so many ways, the only way to understand this is to get out there and do it. Anyone and I mean anyone can run these races...even if you’ve never ran a day in your life...I challenge you to sign up for a race next season and see the impact that it will have on your life!

The first ever Women’s 100 Mile Orange Jacket winner Kris Rugloski!
Kris made history this year at World’s Toughest Mudder with her 100 mile performance. The previous women’s record was 90 miles, set by Amelia Boone and later tied by Rea Kolbl and Katie Knight.
Congratulations to Kris Rugloski!

It’s been four years since I ran my last World’s Toughest Mudder, and I haven’t stepped foot on a Tough Mudder course to compete since. Hell, it’s been well over a year since I’ve touched an obstacle race in general.
.
I acknowledge the part of me that whispers “You know, that was a good chapter in your life. Maybe you should just leave it as it was and not try and recreate the magic.” I acknowledge that there’s some ego involved in that. And I know that, in the past, ego has kept me away.
.
But louder than that voice of ego is the voice that tells me that World’s Toughest Mudder is home for me: it’s how this crazy athletic journey of mine started. And in this whirlwind last year of mine, more than anything, I’ve recognized the importance of home. Of connecting with my roots. And of the people who mean so much to me.
.
So I’m SO excited to return home this weekend for 24 hours of mud, freezing cold, super flattering pictures, and all the weird sht that happens along the way. Let’s go play. tough_mudder #worldstoughestmudder #wtm2019
It’s hard to believe that exactly 4 years ago I did my first tough mudder, and yesterday I completed my first world’s toughest mudder. That seemed like such an intimidating thing to me for years. I’m still trying to take it all in, but I will say WTM was a humbling experience. I trained hard and went out pretty hard for the first 20 miles. In hindsight, I could have paced a little better. Oh well. After discussing with my pit crew we decided I needed to take a break for as long as necessary. Cramps and cold were starting to sink in.
For me it was the right call. After a good nap, and a dry clothes change, i went back out and threw down with a vengeance. I went in to this just for the experience, and to push myself. I didn’t put a mileage expectation. Sure 50 would have been nice, or 75 would have been great but being in the moment and completing the obstacles was the win for me. At the end I only failed 2 obstacles and they both were an almost on my last lap. Each failure was accompanied with a laugh and a smile. It’s good to be challenged, and it’s good to be humbled. I wouldn’t change anything. At one point a volunteer asked me what kept me going, and why was I attempting kong infinity when so many were opting for the penalty? I said I have a friend who’s kid had brain cancer. He didn’t get to take a pass why should I? He smiled and gave me a giant hug. It was a nice moment. This was an amazing life experience. None of this would have been possible with out my amazing pit crew. Thanks so much to my brother Andy and my sister Julie. You two watched out for me, nourished me and kept me stable. Thank you is not enough. And a big thanks to all my fellow mudders. Even in the dark depths we all were still helping each other. Until next time... #mudbloodandmentalgrit #worldstoughestmudder #wtm17 #toughmudder #ocr #teamemerson #fuckcancer
What a difference a year (and a decent shower) makes!

Throwback Thursday to last year‘s Toughest Mudder Midlands. And good luck to everyone racing TM Midlands and Philly this coming weekend. 💪🏻
Unfortunately I am not allowed to fly this close to my due date anymore otherwise I would have come out for some muddy hugs from my favorite muddy people.
🖤
Fun fact: I ran the 24h World‘s Toughest Mudder in Atlanta last year at 11 weeks pregnant. I really miss racing and rolling around in the mud, and I hope to be back for the 2020 season.

It’s been 6 years since I stood on a World’s Toughest Mudder podium. This weekend showed me that I can have big goals, fall short of those, and *still* be thrilled with the results. 85 miles, 340 obstacles, 2nd place woman: my heart is full.
I ran from a place of joy this weekend. It meant giving all the volunteers hugs on course. It meant stopping to thank everyone who gave me a hand over an obstacle. It meant having conversations with other competitors as we trudged through the sand in the middle of the night in the shared misery.
Honestly, there’s no other way I’d want to compete. I spent 10 years trying to find a happy place with racing, and I’ve arrived. I’ll always want to compete and have big goals, but I want to do that in a way that also fills my soul. Maybe I’ve lost that gear in me that says “compete and win at all costs” but I frankly don’t miss it - the collateral damage, both physical and mental, was too great. I like this place that I’m in.
Congrats to k80_knight who ran an absolutely flawless race - excited to see where your OCR career takes you! And to womazonian for hitting your 85 goal - I know how hard that last lap was. I’m so honored to share a podium with both of you.
I left everything out there and I’m proud to be a part of this World’s Toughest Mudder community who still welcomes me back with open arms every year. Congrats to all Mudders - be proud of what you accomplished, even if it didn’t go as planned (it never does 😉). See you next year in…Florida 😖😆
Thank you to TMHQ and kyle_toughmudder (it’s amazing to have a CEO that cares this much) for an epic race. To kedickmann and casifrass - the best pit crew ever! To all the volunteers, the Everest Angels and the Mudderhorn guys. And to my sponsors who have supported me through all of this - ultimatedirectionusa livehuman vengacbd bigspoonroasters

This event is what I call a “gamble” every year. Anything can happen to the body and mind at any moment. The key to success is how well you can control the unknowns and push the boundaries.
It was cold this year, and the way Tough Mudder set up the rolling open obstacles this year was definitely a shock to the body by the time they all opened after I was 50 miles into the race. I pushed and tried to stay as consistent as possible. I know the game, I’ve been running this race many years now and have learned what the body and mind need to continue pushing through the pains and shivers. It got very cold, and it definitely changed the dynamics of the way my body was able to move to and try to keep up with what I mentally wanted. I went through some dark moments but in those dark moments, I knew what my purpose was out there and what I was there for and who I am as a person. “I will go the full 24 hours and if I end up with 95 or 100 miles, I’m extremely happy with my performance and leaving my soul behind on course.” Many folks weren’t able to keep up with the process and bowed out early. Training, knowing your body, the environment, and what your success looks like at the end, gets you to the finish.
I’m proud of my fellow competitors and what they each completed. Thank you TMHQ for the amazing event, as always.
Thank you Coach, Clinton, Sean, and Jason for being up with us all night either DJing or being there at the finish/start line lap after lap. Thank you elliot.rueb and kelsee_montagna for all of the help and support. Couldn’t do this without a solid crew to keep me on track.
Thank you natashavdm81 for your coaching wisdom and expertise throughout the year (we still have work to do for 160 mile snow sled pull in December 🤫)

Exactly 10 years ago, I ran my first Tough Mudder and it set my life off on a course I would have never expected. Over the past decade I’ve reached the height of obstacle racing, ran away from the sport, broken myself multiple times, fell in love with ultrarunning, and grown into a completely different person: mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Fitting with my 10 year anniversary, I got back out on a toughmudder course this weekend again for the first time in a few years, reuniting with people I love (swipe through to see the embarrassing beginnings in 2011 😬) and getting in some much needed obstacle practice.
While my obstacle technique has never been the prettiest, I now have the confidence and strength to get it done, and I’m excited to chase that one goal that has eluded me (and all women!) these past 10 years: hitting 100 miles at World’s Toughest Mudder. Who knows if it can be done, but you can bet I’m looking forward to giving it a go this November. 💃

Cold is probably my worst race condition, so being cold and wet all day for pit set up is not the most confidence inflating thing. 😂 Here`s to hoping we all make it 24 hours (further) injury free, help people find their best, and set personal bests. No cliche plug about this being hard blah blah blah, its worlds toughest mudder. It`s going to be hard. That`s the whole point. Kick some ass, make some noise and I`ll see ya`ll on the flip side. ❤💪

🥈 Medal Monday🥈
This past weekend marked the incredible finish of the 2024 World`s Toughest Mudder, hosted at the Clear Springs Ranch in Bartow, FL.
ultrabeastjosh & joverstreetster both won 2nd Place Overall, logging 110 and 90 miles, respectively, in a span of 24 hours!
To call this their "A Race" is an understatement. WTM is a grueling race of mental grit, unrelenting determination, and extraordinary endurance that both athletes have prepared for years. Both athletes held onto the podium spots for the majority of the 24-hour event to physically and mentally fight every step of the way through the final hour.
Congratulations to both Joshua and Jenny for this monumental feat! The team is proud to represent these two athletes as our ultra-endurance champions.

Leading the way early on at World’s Toughest Mudder in Las Vegas, November 2017. You do as many 5-mile obstacle laps as you can in 24 hours. I covered about 38 miles. Grueling, but it’s a great workout. I’m honored to have represented teamrubicon for the event, and grateful to our pit crew that kept us all fed, warm, and sane. tough_mudder toughmudderceo #toughmudder #worldstoughestmudder #lasvegas #desert #enduranceracing #veteran #charity #disasterresponse #running #determined
Congrats to everyone who ran the #worldstoughestmudder today!! In your honor, here is video after my experience, and some things I learned!
.
.
This was Nov 2013! I stopped around 19.5 hrs, and ran 55 miles, doing 242 obstacles. I hadn`t run much over 10-12 miles in training leading up to it...big mistake #1 ! I wore 3 wetsuits (11mm total) for about 13 of those hours, which destroyed my hip flexors- mistake #2 . I also jumped over all the walls left foot first, until the last few hrs when I realized I couldn`t lift my left leg or push off my right foot anymore, so I had to switch- mistake #3
.
.
I had a blast though, and there`s something strangely fun about pushing yourself that hard.
.
.
I am forever grateful to chriswilczewski for housing me before & after & driving me, kbwonder for being my pit crew, and luiscmoco for carrying me on his back for 2 days after! I literally was uncapable of rolling over in bed, it was CRAZY! There are so many things we can naturally take for granted- like walking or lying down without pain! What a crazy experience 🙃
.
.
Not going to lie, am tempted to try again someday with more mileage under my belt...we shall see. 😏 Not anytime soon at least 😁
This woman is incredible. I’m so grateful to call her my mother. •••
A few days ago I ran for 24 hours in 32 degree temps, soaking wet the entire time, in an effort to complete one of the toughest obstacle course races on the planet, World’s Toughest Mudder. It was my first obstacle race so I had very little ideas on what to expect. Either did my mom and she was to be my pit crew the entire time. •••
The cold kept it really miserable. Yet she stayed up all night, didn’t sleep a wink, dressed in 4 layers, standing and walking the entire night to stay warm, just to make sure every 5 miles I’d have a hot water and soup in my hands. She originally was going to drive back to the hotel and get a decent nights sleep which I thought was a great idea because although I knew I would suffer, I didn’t want my mom to as well. But she changed her mind last minute and chose to stay with me. Seeing her face lap after lap gave me more comfort than she may ever know. •••
It’s nearly impossibly for people who didn’t attend the 24 hour race to understand the elements, coldness, sleep deprivation, and pure grit that goes into it by all the athletes, but the pit crews are some of the true heroes of this race. This time I have a heroine though, because my mom saved my race. I’m so impressed by her determination to stay and support me through all 55 miles. Even after all these years, my mom continues to surprise me with her strength and love. I love you mom, thank you so much for your help. I couldn’t have it done it without you 😘

"If taking oneself seriously as a woman means committing to a life of grooming, pumicing, pruning and polishing one`s exteriors for the benefit of onlookers then I may as well leave my unwieldy rucksack to the top of a bleak Scottish hill and make my home there under a stone, where I`ll fashion shoes out of mud and clothes out of leaves". ~Miranda Heart. -------------------------------- Oh man, I am obsessed with this quote. Don`t get me wrong I do love to dress nice and look pretty but my spirit is most at home covered in sweat and dirt on a mountain top. #flashbackfriday to possibly my all time favorite racing shot. This is from #toughmudder Kentucky 2012. TM doesn`t keep time but I ended up first place overall female and raced alongside my studley husband and brother-in-law. It was freezing and there was so much icy water and mud but we had the time of our lives, fluid team work, laughed a ton and moved quickly through obstacles together. We were a bit slap-happy as we had driven to Kentucky through the night and got about 2 hours of sleep in our car before the race . We were training for #worldstoughestmudder and wanted to practice racing while sleep deprived 😂😬. To top it off, once we completed the 13 mile course, we crossed the finish line and did 200 Burpees 😳. I would like to get my strength back to that place in 2017. Today I am headed to Cross Country Junior Olympics Regionals in Illinois with my team. I`m lucky enough to coach a great group of kids who are really hoping to qualify for Nationals. Send these hard-working kids fast racing vibes if you can please! Happy weekend! #ilovetorun #muddy #ocr #crosscountry
Welp, I made it to #wtm, but I will NOT be running the race I thought I would a week ago. New goal….Start lap and finish lap = 24 hour finisher. It may not look like it in the picture, but this past weekend I encountered one of the scariest moments of my young racing career. I took 3rd in my age group, 6th overall, and hit a personal best time on a hilly 5 mile road race with a time of 35:25, but 100 yards from the finish I mentally blacked out and collapsed at the finish line. My heart rate maxed out at 203 bpm for minutes at a time. During the next 45 minutes, I received medical treatment and passed out 2 more times from overheating, dehydration, and a calorie deficiency. I honestly do not remember when I came to again, but 20 minutes at a minimum passed. Huge shout out and thank you to my family, all the volunteers, and the race organizers for helping get me under control and stabilized.
However, as a result, I will be cutting my season short. After North American Championships I will be done until next season. I need to get a few things figured out and understand fully what happened. The extra time will be good, as I will need to be 100% before I try my chance at #WorldsToughestMudder
