THE VENUE
Plantation Field is usually the domain of high-end equestrian events and manicured grass. It’s an hour outside Philly, but the vibe is strictly rural, think less "City of Brotherly Love" and more "unforgiving Pennsylvania farmland".
The course layout is a technical mix of well-trodden horse trails, open fields, and riverbed crossings. The rolling hills are constant, and because the land is so open, there’s zero cover from the late-spring sun. You’ll be moving between dense wooded sections and steep inclines that require actual effort to scale. Expect the mud to be thick, the water crossings to be cold, and the terrain to be a lot more taxing on your joints than a standard sidewalk.
